| The Bolt SLS BCD is superbly comfortable & streamlined. Great for travel. The first thing you will notice when donning the BCD is the perfect fit. This level of comfort is achieved via special shoulder pads which are longer, pre-shaped, reinforced, & which work in perfect unison w/the lumbar suspension system. This suspension system is inspired by the design of modern hiking backpacks; BCD features 6 stainless steel D-rings for accessory attachment. Made of tough 420 Cordura material, it will endure any exposure you submit it to & hold up to the test of time. Air-cell is separated from the harness, resulting in unrestricted freedom of movement. The bladder is equipped w/bungee cords that will aid in a low profile when it is inflated & facilitates rapid deflation when dumping air. BCD comes standard w/3 pull-dump/overpressure relief valves, one is incorporated into the top of the Ergo Inflator; another is located on the right shoulder & a third is located on the rear lower right. Activation of the valves are made easy w/both the upper & lower right valves coming w/pull cords & the valve in the inflator is activated by an internal cable attached to inflator mechanism. The inflator comes standard w/3/8" threaded LP QD hose. BC provides 46 lbs. (21 kg) of lift in size large yet is streamline & weighs only 8.6 lbs. (3.9 kg). Shoulder straps w/swivel action buckle design, adjustable chest strap & waist strap are equipped w/squeeze-style side-release buckles that along w/adjustable cummerbund provide a custom fit & ease of donning/doffing. BCD provides storage w/its roll-down cargo pocket. The BCD has Mares Slide & Lock System (SLS) for weight release. This weight system provides a visual confirmation of proper weight pouch insertion, so there is no guessing when you do a pre-dive check before entering water. The weight pockets have sturdy zipper closures & are easy to slide into BCD. The SLS is the safest system available & come in weight capacities of 9 lbs. & 13 lbs. (4 kg & 6 kg) capacities. For balanced weight distribution, BCD also has rear weight trim pockets w/weight capacity of 5 lbs. (2.27 kg). SLS weight & trim pockets will work w/block or soft weights. Compact, reliable & performance, key words for describing this Mares 1'st stage w/medium-size 2'nd stage. The chrome plated marine brass 1'st stage regulator is a balanced diaphragm design which is inherently environmentally sealed. The diaphragm membrane transmits the pressure changes to the internal mechanism eliminating the need for surrounding water to enter the intricate mechanism. The Prestige15X uses A.C.T. Advanced Coating Technology. This patented technology created to optimize performance, safety & reliability. The valve is covered w/hard Polyurethane (PU) & sealing surface is a layered w/soft PU for a perfect seal. Tri-material (brass, soft PU & heavy-duty" PU) reaches new levels of durability. The valve is 600% more durable than its predecessor. Another unique feature of the 1'st stage is the dynamic flow control (DFC). The DFC system minimizes the intermediate pressure drop during inhalation. The Prestige15X first stage guarantees a stable flow of air, even under extreme conditions. The 1'st stage is equipped w/4 LP ports with 3/8" & 2 HP 7/16" ports for attachment of gauges. The 2'nd stage Vortex Assist Design (V.A.D.) system: the air bypass tube conveys air to the mouthpiece creating a swirling vortex w/a low-pressure area in the center this keeps the diaphragm down during inhalation, giving very sensitive & easy breathing at all depths. The second stage cover features the mesh-grid system for water inflow & outflow, which provides a further performance improvement. The compact & ergonomic exhaust tee ensures superior hydrodynamic performance & reduced exhalation resistance. Mares Prestige 2'nd stage incorporates Fluid Dynamic Deflector, which is engineered to receive & properly direct airflow from the bypass tube to the mouthpiece. Combined w/VAD system it delivers very natural & effortless breathing. All enclosed in a lightweight Techno-Polymer housing. Regulator has the super flex hose. Hose is extremely light weight & exceptionally soft, for maximum freedom of movement & reducing jaw fatigue. Hose has 3/8" threads & is 31.5" (80cm) in length. The regulator weighs 34 oz. (965 g). The Prestige Octopus is a mid-size octopus design that give steady, natural and effortless breathing. Like the primary 2'nd stage the octopus is reliable downstream valve, has the VAD system bypass tube & features the mesh-grid system for water inflow & outflow & same compact & ergonomic exhaust tee. The mouthpiece is made of soft hypoallergenic silicone: limiting jaw fatigue. The Octopus also incorporates a Fluid Dynamic Deflector & combined w/VAD system it delivers very natural & effortless breathing. Mares, has always paid special attention & devotee's its self to ergonomic design. The material used in manufacturing Mares instruments boots, are highly shock resistant elastomer to protect the gauges accuracy & affords secure grip in every situation w/any type of glove. The compact pressure gauge w/its durable brass case & techno polymer lens has a luminesce dial for easy reading in day or night diving situations. Face of pressure gauge is color coded for safe air reserve in a glance. Pressure gauge has 0 to 5,000 psi readout w/safety reserve 1000 psi color coded in red to allow the diver to know they are low on air. The 2000 psi to full scale is color coded in blue. The pressure gauges 7/16" UNF neoprene jacket double braided HP hose has a 360 swivel & is 36" (90cm) long. Gauge is nitrox ready to 40% oxygen out of the box. This very accurate oil filled depth gauge reads depth from 0' to 230' & comes equipped w/a maximum depth indicator needle (MDIN). The MDIN is pushed by the gauge depth needle until the diver meets their maximum depth. The MDNI will remain at the maximum depth reached for the duration of the dive to indicate the diver's deepest depth reached during the dive. Depth Gauge is color coded for easy and safe reading at a glance. Depth Gauge has a 0' to 230' readout with a safety red color-coded section from 0' to 30'. The compact console weighs 22.8 oz. (650 g). The compass is oil filled for a quick & responsive movement. Dual magnets give faster response & w/maximum working tilt angle of 20 ensures accurate compass headings. A ratchet bezel with compass headings in 10 increments & 30 indicator marks. Bezel has twin heading indicators for alignment of compass course & double lined lubber line across compass face. A side window w/compass degree allows gun-sight accurate use when precise headings are required. Compass card is luminescent for low light conditions. The impact-resistant boot has eyelets for attachment of clips or lanyards to keep the gauge close at hand & from dragging over the environment. |
