Sterling Silver Badge
George V sterling silver and enamel YOUNG HELPERS LEAGUE badge c1920/30s. The YHL was established by
Dr. Thomas Barnardo in 1891. The main aim of the association was stated as "A union of boys and girls, chiefly of the upper and middle classes, in aid of crippled, blind, deaf and dumb and ailing children of the waif class".
In 1930 the YHL was renamed Barnardo Helpers League.

Good vintage condition with original pin fastener to the back.
