Jack Russell Antique Demitasse Cup - Little Victorian girl holding a cute Terrier puppy with the Terrier Momma looking on - really sweet image. I am unsure of the origin of or artist of the image, but it appears on many different pieces by many different pottery/porcelain makers - it is transferware that was widely used in the late 1800’s, early 1900’s. Transferware is a decorative print that is transferred from an engraved, inked copper plate to a sheet of paper and then the paper is then applied to a piece of unfired china or pottery, which absorbs the ink from the paper, the paper is removed and then the piece is fired in the kiln. The cup has a pretty white on white detail around the top and is unmarked. It dates to the early 1900’s. @ 2 1/4” diameter (w/out handle) and @ 3” wide (with handle) x 2 1/4” tall.
