2. What is a MESH connection?

It is an "intelligent" communication protocol. Unlike Bluetooth, it does not create a rigid chain but a network where every device is connected to all others. It is proprietary: each brand (Cardo, Sena (Interphone), Midland) uses its own specific standard.

3. Can I join a MESH network of another brand?

No, it is not possible to natively join a Mesh network of a different brand. To communicate between different brands, you must use the Bluetooth protocol (Universal Intercom) or the OBI standard, where supported.

4. Do MESH devices also have Bluetooth?

Certainly. Almost all Mesh devices also integrate Bluetooth for pairing with smartphones, GPS, motorcycle displays, and for compatibility with older Bluetooth-only intercoms.

5. What can I do with a Bluetooth connection?

Bluetooth in Mesh models acts as an auxiliary connection:

Generally only one for each Mesh device. To include multiple Bluetooth users in a Mesh network, multiple Mesh devices acting as bridges are required. However, an excessive number of bridges can reduce network stability.

8. What happens if a user leaves the MESH group?

In a Mesh network, nothing happens: the group continues to communicate without interruption. When the user returns within range, they reconnect automatically. Warning: if the user who leaves is the "bridge" for a Bluetooth user, the latter will also lose the connection until the bridge returns.
