Stanislaw Lem, The Chain of Chance
Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, New York, 1978 stated first edition hardback with dustwrapper. Number line reads BCDE.
Dustwrapper complete and generally bright and clean but some rubbing banding, mainly to rear. Slight creasing to rear. Light impression mark to bottom front which does not puncture the surface but has carried on into the front board. Underside is tanned, this creeps only fractionally on to the peripheries of the exterior. Unclipped and unsunned.
Boards with some sunning banding at top and bottom front and rear, otherwise structurally sound. One small mark to front and rear from leeching with the gum of a now removed archival sleeve.
Interior clean and unmarked except for minor tanning and even more minor foxing to prelims. Page edges retain good colouration but fore and top edges with light foxing and top edge also somewhat dusty.
