From Wiki: Robert Traill Spence Lowell IV (b. 1917 - 1977) was an American poet. He was born into a Boston Brahmin family that could trace its origins back to the Mayflower. His family, past and present, were important subjects in his poetry. Growing up in Boston also informed his poems, which were frequently set in Boston and the New England region.
From the Web: Scott, Laurence Herbert (b1933- 2005). At Harvard he was a tutor at Lowell House and he later taught at M.I.T. While in Cambridge, he started a small press that printed broadsides of poems by Ezra Pound, W.H. Auden, Robert Lowell, and Allen Gingsberg. He also printed and worked in long, close relationships with the poets Marianne Moore and James Merrill.
