Vintage Red Wing Pottery Stoneware Casserole Green Mold Ernest Sohn Pattern LNC

Beautiful covered casserole from Mid Century designer Ernest Sohn’s rare Butter Mold line for Red Wing Pottery. Produced briefly in the late 1950s - early 1960s. The oven safe ceramic baker with lid is glazed in a deep, dark green. The lid is imprinted with a design of (or inspired by) an antique butter mold. It features an encircled fern flower and leaves. Underside print reads E.S. USA. SIZE: Measures 11” handle to handle, 9 1/4” diameter by 4 1/4” H. CONDITION: Excellent, Like New Condition, clean condition free of chips or cracks. The interior has some staining, crazing, utensil marks.
