1953 Press Photo UN & Communist delegates sign agreement regarding war prisoners

This is an original press photo. United Nations (left) and Communist delegates take their seats at Pan Mun Jom truce table prior to signing an agreement guaranteeing that no war prisoner would be returned against his will. Although the signing removed the major stumbling block in the way of a truce in Korea, U.N. negotiators warned that "this is not the armistice agreement." Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches. Photo is dated 06-08-1953.
