Delightful, 4 1/2" tall, antique, signed Germany, all bisque Kewpie doll, circa 1913, (over 100 years old) with jointed arms having starfish hands, legs molded together to stand, (designed by the famed illustrator and designer, Rose O'Neill). He/she has perfectly molded and painted BLUE wings, good coloring with proper shading, molded and painted tufts of blond hair, huge side-glancing eyes (looking to the right) with lashes, smiling (watermelon shaped) mouth, tiny eyebrows and pink blush to his cheeks and is clearly signed with incised signature on the base: O'Neill as well as his original gold outlined, Kewpie/Germany red heart label. He/she is in good condition with just a small foot chip, no hairlines or cracks and no repairs. Other items shown are not included and listed separately. He has had no repairs or other problems and makes a wonderful addition to your antique Kewpie doll collection. *Other Kewpie dolls in last photos are not included and listed separately.
