A large
poster published for Israel's 10th Anniversary – עשור למדינת ישראל. It contains 21 caricatures by artist Dosh
(Kariel Gardosh) who created the character Srulik (nick name for Israel), as a
representation of the young State of Israel. The things that happen to Srulik
in Dosh's strips reflect the challenges, hardships, achievements and humor of
the Israeli people.
Srulik
became an icon in Israeli visual history and graphic language.
The
poster was published by the ministry of education, and the Government Printer.
