1947 Press Photo I.P. Zakharov of USSR research uses the videotelephone set

This is an original press photo. Believed to be the first such apparatus invented is the videotelephone set, invented by I.P. Zakharov, staff worker for the USSR television research institute. The new instrument permits you to see the persons you're speaking with by telephone. Here Zakharov watches the screen showing the face of the person he's calling.Photo measures 8.5 x 6.75inches. Photo is dated 6-27-1947.
