This is an original press photo. Camp Pendleton, CA: Marines hit the beach at this military base in a giant military war game called exercise Silver Lance. Some 20,000 Marines stormed the beaches as planes were overhead lending aerial support to the landing. The landing was the largest amphibious "attack" in peace time history.Photo measures 10 x 8inches. Photo is dated 3-5-1965.
