Lionel Early Postwar FLYING SHOE COUPLERS, NO KNUCKLES, FOUR Pieces, NOS C-2

This lot consists of FOUR (4) early coil couplers, as installed on Flying Shoe trucks in the first few years after WWII.  They are complete and APPEAR ready to install, but....

I have tested each one - THESE HAVE FAILED a simple functional test.  Voltage applied DOES NOT open the knuckle.  Possible issues: broken coil wire, burned-out coil, stuck knuckle, broken spring, etc.

These were either not installed by Lionel in the factory, or were taken off of production items.  Some have had the solder lug which connects to the coil soldered, some have not.

A little time spent diagnosing and correcting the fault should reward you with a nice looking NOS coupler.

Bulk quantities are available (25 or more) on some items.  If you want a bunch, let me know - but DO NOT ask 'do you have more of those'.  That's a violation of eBay rules.  And...I really don't want to negotiate prices on single items.
