For use on interior wood surfaces to give ultra-tough protection against chemicals, cleaning agents, alcohol and oils, and high wear. Our Heavy Duty Wood Varnish is an ultra-hard, high-quality, and fast-drying varnish with a satin or dead flat finish that dries to a crystal-clear film. It’s a great choice for interior surfaces that need a high level of protection such as work surfaces and areas of high wear, and it’s no wonder that it’s relied upon by decorators everywhere for a superior and long-lasting finish.
Preparation:
All surfaces must be clean and free from dust, dirt, oil and contamination.
Remove oils/resins from oily hardwoods and resinous softwoods.
Sand to a smooth finish and remove all dust.
Application:
Ensure the product is well mixed but do not shake.
Apply 2-3 coats of varnish, with a synthetic varnish brush.
On new softwood and porous surfaces, dilute the first coat 10% with water. Lightly sand wood in between applications to remove any raising of the grain.
For a dead flat finish with high durability, apply two coats of satin followed by one of dead flat.
Instructions in the technical data sheet must be followed.
Caution:
Always apply to a test area before starting work.
