The fitting seals with an O-ring and the only thing required is a small amount of lubricant, petroleum jelly, or some type of petroleum product (such as motor oil) applied to the O-ring. 🚗EASY TO INSTALL:The thread size of 8AN is 3/4-16 UNF, and the thread size of 6AN ORB is 9/16-18 UNF.The side of AN is a 37 degree angle taper flare fitting and the ORB side is an O-ring.To install a straight-through 6AN ORB-8AN fitting, screw the fitting into the mating part until the preformed packing is completely in the mating packing seat. Tighten the fitting until snug. Check the ORB fitting for leaks when the system is started. If leaking, retighten tubing or hose.
