Synopsis

Issei Hyodo was living an unattractive high school life, unable to get a girlfriend. Then, Yuma Amano confesses his feelings for Issei. Issei is buoyed by his first girlfriend and tries to make the date as exciting as possible. However, at the end of the date, Issei is stabbed with a spear of light. Yuma's true identity is the fallen angel Reinare, who sees the power of Issei's sacred gear (Sacred Gear) as dangerous and approaches him to kill him.

Just before Issei dies, he thinks of Rias Gremory with red-colored hair. This thought gave him strength, and Rias was summoned from the magic circle written on the devil card Issei was carrying. Rias sees the wounded Issei, heals his wounds, and reincarnates him as a household demon. Issei joins the occult research club, of which Rias is the head. He is assigned to work as a demon under Rias.
