Self-Supporting Glazing Bars, Edge Bars, Eaves Beam & Wall Plate (White)
Suitable for Use With 16mm, 25mm & 35mm Polycarbonate Roofing Sheets
Used for glazing canopies / carports / lean to roofs.

These self-support glazing bars and accessories are an ideal choice for a modern and clean appearance when constructing a Canopy, Car Port, Lean-to or Conservatory roof. The aluminium is strong but lightweight and glazing bars are finished in a pleasant uPVC capping and underclad which has a scotia moulding to give an appealing finish. The minimum roof pitch is 5°, but we recommend a minimum pitch of 10°.
Unlike rafter supported glazing bars, these self-supporting glazing bars do not need supporting beneath their entire length. Instead, the glazing bars are supported at the top and bottom of the rafter and will span up to 4m in length, without intermediary support.
Colours: Our listing is for white bars, but should you want brown, rosewood, golden oak, black and grey, please contact us. Despite efforts for accuracy, actual product colours may vary due to various reasons, including screen settings & lighting.

- The self-supporting glazing bars have limitations, and it is important to understand the maximum glazing bar projections and sheet widths before ordering.
- Maximum projection of a self-supporting glazing bar is 4m.
- Maximum polycarbonate width is 1000mm, but the longer the bar, the narrower the sheet should be.
- Please note that the spans and maximum permitted sheet widths change depending on the pitch and projection of the roof.

- Important: Do not order this this product if you are not fully aware of the fitting requirements or product limitations.
Important: The
self-supporting bars can be used with certain glass glazing. However,
the 2m & 2.5m Self-Supporting bars are NOT suitable for use with glass. If
you wish to use glass, you will need to order a 3m bar and cut it down to the
required size, or contact us for a quote on a heavy duty 2m / 2.5m bar.
If you want to cut the sheets yourself, you can using a fine tooth saw or jigsaw. Make sure you clear any swarf out of the sheets with a blower or vacuum cleaner. You can buy additional sealing tapes in our eBay Shop. We recommend aluminium tape for the top of the sheet and the fabric breather tape for the lower end. The polycarbonate sheet has a UV protective layer on the upper side only. This will be clearly marked on the protective film.
Storage Information:
It is important that you remove the packaging that the product is shipped in, to initially check that there was no damage whilst shipping.
