• Wild goose framed badge, unsplit
  • Probably late Qing dynasty
  • Bird - wild goose, 4th rank
  • Male badge
  • Embroidered
  • Measures:  approximately 9 ½ x 9 ¾ inches
  • Notes (per David K. Hugus email from February, 2019): “A wild goose with lots of aniline dyes. Probably done late in the Qing dynasty. The golden portions of the border are VERY stylized dragons. I can’t tell anything valuable from the back of this textile [was still in the frame at the time of his assessment].”
