| Precaution | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1. Sample preparation: (1) During preparation of the sample surface, avoid the influence of heat, cold processing and other factors on the surface hardness of the sample as much as possible. (2) If the surface to be tested is too rough, it can cause measurement errors. Therefore, the tested surface of the sample must have metallic luster exposed, and is flat, smooth and free of oil stains. (3) Curved surface: The tested surface of the sample is preferably flat. Samples with the tested surface curvature radius R of less than 30mm should be supported with small or irregular support rings during testing. 2. Sample support: (1) For heavy-duty samples, no support is required. (2) For medium-sized samples, they must be placed on a flat and sturdy surface and be placed absolutely stably without any shaking. (3) The sample should have sufficient thickness, and the minimum thickness of the sample should comply with the impact device parameter list. (4) For samples with surface hardening layers, the depth of the hardening layer should comply with the impact device parameter list. 3. Coupling: (1) For the light-duty sample, it must be tightly coupled with a sturdy support, and the two coupling surfaces must be flat and smooth, with an appropriate quantity of coupling agent. The testing direction must be perpendicular to the coupling plane. (2) When the sample is a large-area plate, long rod or bent part, even if the weight and thickness are large, it may still cause deformation and instability of the sample, resulting in inaccurate test values. Therefore, reinforcement or support should be provided on the back of the test point. (3) The magnetic properties of the sample itself should be less than 30 Gauss. |

| Operation Method | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| 1. Power on: Press the ‘OFF/ON’ button to turn on or off the instrument. After turning on the tester, the instrument will automatically enter the measurement state after self-inspection. 2. Loading: Push the loading sleeve downwards to lock the impact body, and now the loading is completed. Press the support ring of the impact device tightly onto the surface of the sample, and the impact direction should be perpendicular to the test surface. 3. Measurement: The distance between any two indentations or the distance between the center of any indentation and the edge of the sample shall comply with the following provisions: Distance between the centers of two indentations: ≥3mm Distance between the indentation center and the edge of the sample: ≥5mm Press the release button on the upper part of the impact device to perform the test. At this point, it is required that the sample, impact device and operator are all stable, and the direction of the applied force should pass through the axis of the impact device. Each measuring part of the sample is generally subjected to three or more tests, and the average value is read as a piece of Leeb hardness test data. At this point, press the up or down arrow keys to view the previous or next test value. 4. Press and hold the ‘SET/SAVE’ button to save the current test data. 5. Press and hold the ‘UNIT’ button on the measurement interface to enter and view the saved data group. Press the up or down arrow key to view the saved data. Long press the up arrow key to delete all saved data. Press the ‘SET/SAVE’ button to view detailed records. |
