Digital Reprint

From a family estate of a gentleman's collection of gay and male related photographs and ephemera. Most items are from the early to mid 20th century and includes loose photographs as well as some pictures that were cut by the owner from an antique photo album.

4x6 snapshot from the 1940s showing a young football player (high school?) sitting in an enameled metal wash tub, showing his football, and smiling for all he's worth. What a great photo!

The story that I found on this picture is that it's for a scrap metal drive like many that were held during WWII. They collected anything from tin cans so old cast iron beds, like the ones you see in the background of this photo.

Note that because of the enlargement from my scanner, the image shown here is slightly more blurry that the print you will receive.

*Some of the photographs in this collection such as this one had heavy damage such as stains, image loss from fading, paper loss and tears, etc. I made digital repairs to the original images and had them professionally reprinted. Each of these items is labeled at the top of the listing as "Digital Reprint" to indicate that these are not the original prints of these images. They are also priced accordingly.

2 picture(s)  included as part of our description. Please examine carefully before purchase. If you have any questions before purchase please contact us here: we are very happy to help in any way we can.

Please note that inclusion in this gentleman's collection does not imply that the people in the photo are gay or bi. Perhaps someone in the photo was a friend, or maybe he just picked up the picture somewhere for his collection.
