Louis Kuppenheim German Reich IMPERATOR Cigarette Lighter Solid Silver Jacket
1854: Lehmann senior. (Louis Kuppenheim, 1824-1889) founded together with
Heinrich joke man a factory. Location of the company is the market Pforzheim.
Kuppenheim worked exclusively with silver and gold, jewelry was in the manufactory
only produced in small quantities. These rare specimens, however, are beautifully worked.
Vintage Semi-Automatic Imperator Pocket Petrol Wick Lighter - 900 Silver Jacket ( Crescent & Crown) -
Pocket lighter - Briquet Essence - the following lettering is engraved on the front "HAPPY EASTER"
Semi-automatic, friction wheel, petrol - filling screw on the side - special technology - flint on the friction wheel jacked up.
The lid opens at the push of a button & at the same time the friction wheel is accelerated by a gear wheel - a spark is created.
The Maker's Mark - Maker's mark (mark of the manufacturing silversmith's workshop)
This shows the initials of the silversmith - in this case "Louis Kuppenheim"
then you see a crescent and crown:
A uniform silver mark for Germany since 1888.
The crescent stands for silver, the crown for the imperial crown.
And on the far right you can see the hallmark for the silver content "900"
