The Alaska Zoo honored BINKY the Polar Bear with this bookmark and other items for BINKY Day. In 1995 BINKY became world famous for grabbing the foot and shoe of a zoo goer who went into the Polar Bear enclosure. He ended up with her sneaker in his mouth, as shown in this pin. Binky became famous for this and the zoo released various mementoes of the occasion.
This bookmark has never been exposed to smoke, perfume, scent of any kind and never used. Just as I bought it from the zoo that year.
