Sekirei"" is a Japanese manga series by Sakurako Gokurakuin and a TV anime series based on the manga. It was completed in the 17th issue of 2015.

In a comment on the book, Gokurakuin said, ""It took me two years of planning and a whole lot of rejection, but I was able to complete it with just my momentum. A drama CD was released in July 2007, a TV anime aired from July to September 2008, and a game was released in October 2009. In addition, a second TV anime season, ""Sekirei - Pure Engagement,"" aired from July to September 2010.

The final postwar episode, ""Sekirei: 365 Days Without Her,"" was serialized from issue #10, 2017; as of April 2019, the total number of comics sold has surpassed 3.4 million copies.

◆ Synopsis.

In the year 2020, at the top of the building of M.B.I., a super giant corporation towering over the New Eastern Imperial Capital, a man loudly announces the launch of the ""Sekirei Project"". The 108 released warriors called ""Sekirei,"" together with Ashikabi, will fight each other for the last survivors. The main character, Minato Sahashi, meets Yui, one of the sekirei, on the day he is chosen to be a sophomore. This encounter changes the fate of the ordinary and dull Minato.
