Consisting of the second edition of volumes I and II, published in 1803; an 1802 edition of volume III; the 1804 edition of volume IV; the 1807 edition of volume V, and the 1811 edition of volume VI. With half titles to volumes I & II, III and IV.
Lacking half title to volumes V and VI.
This legal reference work, authored by British lawyer and legal writer Isaac Espinasse, details reports of cases argued and ruled on in the Nisi Prius courts between 1793 and 1807. The works provides detailed accounts of the arguments and rulings made in a wide range of cases, including those involving commercial law, personal injury, and property disputes.
With the stamp of the Queen's College, Oxford, to each front pastedown, but no further library markings.
A scarce complete set of this work offering fascinating insight into the legal system of late eighteenth century and early nineteenth century England.
CONDITION
Rebacked, in half calf bindings, retaining the original marbled paper covered boards. Endpapers renewed. Rubbing to centre of volume I back strip. Rubbing to boards with bumping to board perimeters. Front joints of volumes I and IV starting, with boards holding firm. Library stamp to front pastedowns. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned but generally clean and bright, with only the odd spot.
