This is a handcrafted container made of cow horn and wood. It was made in the original way these containers used to be made. These sealed containers used to be used for whatever the cowboys (or cowgirls) needed to store out on the range long ago. I think they were mostly used to store tobacco. This one has never been used and is in pristine condition. The cow horn has an interesting pattern and slightly irregular shape. It is also somewhat translucent.  The wood portion on the base and lid were made to fit exactly onto the horn, with tiny little nails or pegs holding it at the base. Stands 4 1/2" tall and is 3 1/4" diameter.  Incredible workmanship! This would be an amazing and unique item for a "Man Cave", Den, Study, etc. You will not find another like this. Thanks for looking!
