This 38+ year old vintage Botanical Art Print, BIGNONIA CAPENSIS, is from a renowned Pierre Joseph Redoute collection.  Book Plate 11.

Print background is a light cream color which may not show precisely in photos. 

Redoute (1759- 1840), a painter and botanist from Belgium, was known for his watercolors of roses, lilies and many other flowers at the Chateau de Malmaison.  Often referred to as "the Raphael of flowers", Redoute has been considered the greatest botanical illustrator of all time.  

Note:  These beautiful book plates have been gently removed from the out-of-print book and may have a light rough edge, which will not hurt the quality of the print.  The back side is blank.  There may be a small amount of foxing due to age.  Please see photos.
