Noted for his social critique style in the critically praised "Town Trilogy" of Mozart Town, Animal Town and Dance Town, arthouse filmmaker Jeon Kyu Hwan depicts the dark side of humanity in the erotic action thriller Angry Painter. Yoo Jun Sang (The Target) transforms into an angry vigilante who kills off evil with his sidekick played by Mun Jong Won (Venus in Furs). The first co-production between Korea and Estonia, the indie crime story involving human trafficking and drug abuse premiered at the 2015 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and was screened at the 2015 International Film Festival of India in Goa and the 2015 Black Nights Film Festival.

Considering himself God's executioner, the Painter (Yoo Jun Sang) hunts and kills sinful people, largely men who abuse women, with the help of his partner Driver (Mun Jong Won). The duo harvest the victims' organs and give them to children in need. The Driver is attracted to Elbe (Natallia Bulynia), an Estonian woman who works in a strip club for American soldiers. Their affair arouses the intense jealousy of Elbe's ex-boyfriend and they are eventually killed. The resentful Painter travels to Estonia with Elbe's remains and meets her sister Kristi (Maria Seppik), who is the key to revealing his real identity.
