A 6 1/2 inch tall rectangular-shaped deep PEACOCK BLUE colored antique HAIR TONIC bottle.   These come in various colors, from this old hand blown example in a RICH PEACOCK BLUE color to the newer machine made DEEP DEEP COBALT BLUE colored bottles.   There was also the predecessor to this bottle, a rather plain looking old aqua bottle that is just embossed "AYERS" on the base.  Some of these come with blue glass stoppers, but this is not one of them.  It is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating it all the way back to the 1800's.

  • Bottle embossed:  "AYER'S  / HAIR VIGOR", on both sides.  The base is lightly embossed "J.C.A. CO.", for J.C. Ayers Company. 

  • Condition:   A nice example in shiny clean condition.   It does have internal content residue in the shoulder area and some minor external scuffs/scrapes = age wear.  NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc.  MANY SELLERS WOULD JUST CALL IT MINT.  PLEASE see picture's for idea of overall appearance.

  • Age:  An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800's.
