This historical map shows the countries of Brazil, Chili, Bolivia, Paraguay & Uruguay in considerable detail. Political boundaries are noted and major cities and towns are identified.  The insets provide a close-up view of the “Harbor of Bahia”, “Harbor of Rio Janeiro” (both Brazil), and the “Island of Juan Fernandez”.  Very detailed view of a portion of South America, as it was known in the beginning of the 1860’s!
