The tapes are only 2mm thick and as such it is an ideal solution where you do not want the secondary glazing to protrude too much. Using magnetic tape also ensures that the panels are easy to remove in the Summer or for cleaning etc.
Additional Information
Our tapes are manufactured in the UK and are of the highest quality. We use a high grade foam adhesive on the magnetic tape which is the same type as used for security glazing. The steel is high quality and rigid which helps ensure it will last long term, and has a solvent-acrylic adhesive which ensures that it can bond to most surfaces. This adhesive, as with the magnetic tape, is also UV resistant making it ideal for use in windows - coming into contact with direct sunlight.
In order to calculate the size of glazing panel you must add 25mm to the internal dimensions of the window frame. It is important that there is a flat surface all the way round to ensure a good fit. Please ensure that all window furniture e.g. handles etc fit within the recess.
When you are fitting the tape, ensure the surfaces are really clean by using a pure alcohol cleaner on the surfaces. Upon request, we can supply packs of 10 sachets of IPA cleaner.
