Beautiful 5.50 CTS natural black opal cabochon originating from Ethiopia. This measures approximately 21.5 x 9.8 x 6.0 mm and is cut into a pear shape.

The gem has a very desirable jet - black base coloring and displays an excellent play of color with multiple tones. At certain angles an impressive bright long flash of red and gold can be seen. There is also green, orange, pink and some hints of blue coloring.

This is a naturally earth mined gemstone and has been smoke treated to enhance color. Don't be fooled by lesser imitations. this is not a doublet or filled product, this is solid earth mined stone.
