Description

AJS Matchless G3 G80 G9 G11 NEW alloy primary chaincase band QUALITY REPRODUCTION batch, which I verified by trying on my own loose primary covers in these photos. Not as nice as quality as the original #01-8650 AMC production with brass fittings, but fits well. Original shape didn't look correct, but it is the right length and assumes the shape of the primary upon installation. With the band screw out and the rubber in place, open slightly and start to install over the rubber at the front end. Close up the back side with the screw and it arrives at the right shape. Photo of two bands together shows a 1960's aftermarket MCA band with little rivets, and this new one has larger, stronger alloy rivets that work in the same way, and you don't really see them when installed on a bike. Band width is the same as MCA.
