For the Baseball Hobbyist. . . ~ 1983 Marketcom, Inc. & The Sporting News ~ Complete 5-card PROTOTYPE Set Baseball Americana ~ The Conlon Collection All five cards issued by Marketcom, Inc., in 1983 to announce its forthcoming set. Though issued in standard size (2-1/2" by 3-1/2" size) the actual product* later produced by Marketcom was quite different from the prototypes. A Unique Twist In an interesting twist, the statistics featured on the card backs of these were career stats to the date of the photograph, a formula never followed in any other Conlon set.
