The 1938 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team represented the University of Notre Dame during the 1938 college football season. Their record that season was 8-1. Their final win, against Northwestern University, gave them a record of 8-0. Notre Dame would go on to lose their final game of the season (against USC).
