This elegant glass bowl was handblown in Murano, Italy - the island off the coast of Venice centuries renowned for its superlative glass production- circa 1960. Resembling a leaf, the asymmetrical rim of the bowl has scalloped edges and offer a small pinched depression. Handblown using the Bullicante technique, the glass is embedded with a recurring streams of murines, resembling bubbles, that emanate from the center of the bowl and gradually increase in diameter as they radiate outwards. Highly decorative, yet refined, this piece promises to add a touch of vibrant color to any interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. Excellent condition.
