Large sized fully natural 8.69 CTS natural star Sapphire cabochon originating from Burma. This measures approximately 11.33 x 10.13 x 6.69 mm and is cut into an oval shape.

This was sourced by a personal friend of mine in Bangkok who works in the gem market there. This is completely natural without any treatment, which is not common. We had these certified by a lab and the purchase will include the certificate of authentication.

A gorgeous and interesting grey toned Sapphire. This is not diffused ( artificial star) glass filled or even heated. Burma is one of the most prized sources for such a stone. With these aspects into consideration, this is a rare and beautiful find.

The gem has a beautifully formed 6-ray star of light caused by asterism. This phenomenon causes a moving star of light to travel across the surface of the stone when exposed to a light source, either artificial or sunlight.

There is some slight natural inclusions and surface marks as shown in pictures, but is overall in good condition.
