The second book of 'La Guia de Pecadores', or, 'The Sinner's Guide', an important Dominican theological work on the doctrine of the virtues, guiding the reader against sinning.
By Louis of Granada, a Dominican friar, a noted theologian and preacher.
This work has been much compared to 'The Imitation of Christ' due to it's classic reputation, and smooth and harmonious style. It's considered to be a perennial source of religious inspiration.
CONDITION
In a quarter marbled calf binding with paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with some light rubbing to the extremities. Minor rubbing to the boards. Hinges are starting but firm. A few light spots to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with just a couple of light spots to the title page.
