This historical and decorative map depicts Alabama with its counties named and in contrasting colors. Railroads are shown with each stop noted. Topographical features are also depicted and major towns, cities, mountains, islands,

Post Offices, mills, swamps and water routes identified.  The Old Colbert Claim is shown in Lauderdale County, the Old Cherokee School Reservation is noted in Madison County, and the Gold Mines are noted in Chilton County.  

The inset, lower right, depicts the “ENVIRONS OF BIRMINGHAM”. An attractive view of the state as it existed in the 1890’s. 

Original map about 120 years old, not a reproduction - in nice condition as shown in the photos.  It comes with a certificate of authenticity.
