This cigarette case is from Birmingham England, and the stamps indicate that it was produced around 1862. The Lion Passant stamp indicates that it is Sterling Silver, and the 

Anchor stamp is the stamp of Birmingham. The "T & S" stamp is that of  Turner & Simpson, the silversmiths who made this case.

The case has as somewhat Art Deco feel to it. The edges nicely are beveled and the entire case is covered in a cross hatched pattern. There is a nice badge in the upper left corner that would make a perfect place for engraved initials.

This case measures approximately  3 x 3 3/8 x 3/8ths

This case weighs approximately 94.67 grams

One obvious issue is the bowed front cover. 

Fortunately this bowing does not affect the cases ability to open/close, and positively latch.

We gave the case a light cleaning, but you could polish and brighten it up even more, if your needs be.

This antique cigarette case will  be a wonderful addition to a collection.
