This String Hopper Machine also Known as Idiyappam Machine 

Traditionally the string hopper making machine is used to Press string hopper dough into the string hopper trays. This is operated manually.

These string hopper trays are then placed in a steamer and steamed until this Sri Lankan delicacy is soft and tasty
