This Owl planter is not marked but it is similar to a BRINN's ... Made in Japan piece.  There are holes on the top by the ears and 1 hole on the back toward the top.  It looks as if this planter is able to hang from a macrame hanger or hooks made especially to hang planters from.  
This owl is 5 1/2 inches tall x 4 1/4 inches wide x 3 1/2 inches thick.  
The owl has very large wide spread feathers around its eyes.  The colors in it are tan, brown, black, hues of blue and gray.  I believe this piece to be made of Earthenware pottery piece.  I am not really sure but the bottom has a grainy feel to it.  The only flaw I see in this piece is the water and soil residue on the inside.  The owl has no chips, cracks, crazing, or has been repaired.  The colors are bright and vivid.
