Their meaning and evaluation

This book is for everyone thinking people. It asserts that the happiness of the individual, like that of humanity, depends on the possession of very definite ideas and associations; that Successes, luck, and to a large extent that too health can be obtained by acquiring these ideas. That every person can make his life much happierthan it is when he acquires certain knowledge.

This book aims at something completely new: no imaginations (suggestions) should be evoked, no belief, no uncritical acceptance of what has been put forward is required, no alienation from the world should be brought about. Exactly the other way around, the laws are to be shown, according to which the practical individual experience, feeling, sensation, desires and fears proceed. It should be shown how to through knowledge these laws can achieve what you want and how one can become free from everything that inhibits and torments. The more critical and skeptical these statements are, the better it is.

The doctrine of desuggestion claims:
»Stop imagining things that don't actually exist or that are just there in a completely different way than you experience them - and you will achieve success, your mind will grow, your mind and nerves will enjoy the benefits of spiritual hygiene, you will be the smith of your happiness. "

This is a book with tremendous, practical implications for every person. No fashion book, no unworldly speculation, no boring theory - but the iron tablets of a friendly law on which a new humanity for the coming generations will be built. This book does not establish do's, don'ts, or dogmas: it only conveys practical knowledge.
