Yes, this a hand painted, signed by the painter, wooden egg. This egg was painted by one lady in a group of ladies who live in Moscow.  I call them                                    "Lida's eggs' because Lida was the lady that assembled this group of very talanted ladies.  Hand painted with watercolor and sealed with a matte finish lacquer.

The detail is exceptional.  The wooden egg is only 2 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches in diameter.  This is a glorious egg.

The black spot which appears in some of the pictures, is only in my old camera and not on the egg.
