After getting released from prison, former boxing champion Zhou Shi (Han Geng) is determined to start anew on the straight for the sake of his daughter (Cai Shuling) and his late wife. However, when his daughter suddenly falls ill, Zhou has no choice but to compromise with his mother-in-law (Vivian Woo) so that his daughter can get immediate medical treatment. To encourage her daughter in her fight against her illness, Zhou decides to fight alongside her by proving that he can be a boxing champion again.
