This beautiful Royal Rose R597 Anchor Hocking flower vase combines a spherical cube base with a flared ruffle edge top.  It is ideal for a shelf display or used with a silk flower arrangement on a table. There is a thin crack in the bottom (smooth to the touch on vase exterior) that will slowly leak and not hold water. The price reflects this defect which is not readily noticeable in a table or display setting. Made by Anchor Hocking Glass Company, Lancaster, Ohio, and shown in an early catalogue featuring other flower vases in crystal and Royal Ruby which was introduced in 1938.
