TRUE COMICS #84  (PARENTS MAGAZINE 1949).  JACK SPARLING artwork.  Features perhaps the first appearance of WYATT EARP (and the tale about the OK CORRAL) in comic books--the story titled, "Sheriff's Secret".  Other stories include ALLAN PINKERTON--founder of the Pinkerton Detective Agency and pioneer of the private investigation.  HENRY HUDSON, and the baseball story about RUBE MARQUARD, "Sizzling Southpaw".  This is the last issue of this magazine.  32 pages.  Full color.   Very rare publication.  This book was sold to subscription customers only--no retail vendor sales and was published on newsprint paper.  No price on cover.   FINE-VERY FINE (7.0) condition.

This is a higher grade copy of this magazine with very good color and original gloss.  The spine looks very nice with only a tiny tear just below the top staple.  Both staples tightly bind the cover and all interior pages (centerfold photo provided).  There is a partial fold impression at the top right corner.  On the back cover there are two very tiny tears at the right end of the bottom edge.  The interior pages look off-white.

Shipping is $5.00 to the United States.  Shipping will be combined for multiple purchases.
