Description
You're a grand old flag
You're a high-flying flag
And forever in peace may you wave
You're the emblem of
The land I love
The home of the free and the brave Ev'ry heart beats true
Under red, white and blue
Where there's never a boast or brag
But should old acquaintance be forgot
Keep your eyes on Donald Rumsfeld for someday he will own a grand old flag that was certainly not bought.
Well after that corny introduction I have a rather historic flag that flew over the Capitol and presented to than Congressman from Illinois Donald Rumsfeld in the year 1966. The flag was intended for Erol La Manna of Skoie,Il. Included in the original presentation box is a napkin from LBJ’s inauguration banquet in January of 1965. If you collect historic American flags presented to a historic figure here is one you will never find again.
Beautiful example of ole’ glory made of heavy fabric with intricate sewn stars and strips.
