1955-1972 Jeep CJ 5 and CJ 6. This is an "Under the Passengers" seat tank with 6 screws to install the sending unit and an angled filler pipe. The pickup tube comes installed on the top of the tank not on the bottom like the metal tanks. The change in fuel pickup will require extending the fuel line through the floor of the Jeep to the top of the tank. In-line fuel filter required. Includes new 6-hole sending unit gasket. Verify that the sending unit is installed with 6 screws NOT a lock ring. If the sending unit installs with a lock ring, tank # TREX0042 (eBay #391301309376) is the correct tank. Dimensions 25" x 18 1/2" x 6 1/2".
*This is NOT a direct replacement tank but a second tank to go with your main "Under the Drivers" seat. Jeep did not offer a fuel tank for "Under the Passengers" seat. If you are interested in this tank, you will need to purchase at minimum the straps, a gas cap, filler plate and filler plate grommet. To install this tank multiple modifications will need to be made to the Jeep: remove the tool box, fabricate a way to attach the straps to the CJ, cut of hole out of the side of the CJ to match the driver's side, attach the filler plate to the side of the CJ and run additional fuel lines for the second tank.

polyethylene of MTS tanks is nearly 1/4" thick for superior strength and
will not rust inside or out. MTS tanks contain no welds or seams and will not
crack even at 150º F below zero (-101º C).
Warranty
This tank is covered by
a five-year warranty. MTS polyethylene gas tanks are warranted to the original
purchaser for a period of five years from the date of purchase. We will replace
any tank shown within five years from the date of purchase to be defective in
materials or workmanship. No other warranty is made or expressed or implied.
Our liability shall be limited to the cost of replacing the tank. No labor
cost, loss, expense or lost opportunity suffered or incurred by any person or
entity directly or indirectly arising from the use of any of our products is
included or covered by this warranty. Parts other than tanks supplied by MTS
Company, L.C. are covered by the above terms except that the period of coverage
shall be one year. The use of any tank or other part on a vehicle other than
the model it was designed for voids this and any other warranty coverage and is
neither recommended nor encouraged.
This tank is also
covered by a lifetime warranty against rust. MTS polyethylene gas tanks are
guaranteed against rust through of the tank for as long as the original
purchaser owns the vehicle on which it was originally installed.

Our goal is to have enough parts in stock so there will never be an issue of us being out of stock on any certain part. But occasionally, we do run out of stock on parts. Sometimes this is due to a manufacturer not supplying us enough parts, or in the case of popular parts they can sell out very quickly and we do not have any more in stock at that time. If you order a part and we discover it is not in stock, we will send you an e-mail notifying you, and give you the option of waiting for a restock or getting a refund.
