We have for sale a super antique Kerr (Newark, NJ) sterling silver cigarette case.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE NOT POLISHED THE PIECE AND HAVE LEFT THE PATINA.
The front of the case is beautifully decorated with crisp flowing natural repoussé images of flowers in various stages of bloom surrounded by swirls of silver stems and leaves.
The rear of the case is smooth sterling silver.
The case is stamped on the inside with the Kerr fasces hallmark which is situated between the word "STERLING" and the number "1976".
The gold wash on the interior of the case is in overall excellent condition.
The hinged lid is in super working order and snaps shut.
Approximately 3 1/4" long x 2 1/2" wide.
This piece is NOT monogramed and weighs 75.1 grams.
Both of the internal cigarette retainers are present and the spring action is nice and firm.
The case possesses some minor wear commensurate with age and usage (including some surface scratches on the rear smooth panel/see photo) but, overall the repoussé image retains an excellent level of crispness and a lovely patina.
There is a shallow, slight, small depression on one of the rear corners of the lid (see photo).

Bidding:

When you the buyer bids on or purchases an item you are thereby agreeing to provide successful and complete payment within 96 hours (4 calendar days). Please note that if full payment is not received as specified then the purchase or bid will be cancelled and the sold item will be re-listed, or in the event of multiple bids, the second or under bidder may be contacted.
Non-paying buyers/bidders will be blocked from purchasing or bidding on other items available in our eBay store.

Shipping:

Insurance and signature confirmation will be included in the shipping/handling total for purchased items in order to protect against loss, damage, theft or misplaced packages. All items will be shipped with insurance and signature confirmation, regardless of the sale price.
We list our shipping method as USPS although we will occasionally use other services (UPS, FedEx etc.) should they be more cost-effective, safer, and/or more convenient while still providing needed insurance and signature options. Please note: heavy items, fragile pieces, and fine jewelry will have higher domestic shipping costs based on the package weight and/or value of the item. Where applicable shipping fees will be calculated dependent on the item's final weight, the cost of insurance, packaging, and destination.
Some of our shipping methods for larger items (furniture, large signs etc.) include ForwardAir, which does not ship door to door. However, they do have outlets all over the country. If you have a shipping method and/ or company that is safe while being more cost effective and/or convenient we will do our best to accommodate.
We are shipping valuable pieces of history and therefore, we package them as securely as possible to ensure their safe arrival including double boxing or crating where appropriate which may add weight to the final total cost of shipping. In which case, normal shipping costs will not apply.
Please do not include shipping in your offer. We will not honor an offer that includes shipping.

Policies

If you are a buyer with less than 10 (ten) feedbacks which include at least one negative feedback, then please contact Artisan Antiques & Jewelry prior to bidding or purchase. Although we do not normally accept offers from eBay users as described above, we may consider the possibility if you contact us directly. If you do not contact us before buying your bid will be canceled.
Any insurance claim that may arise it is necessary for you, the buyer, to keep all packaging materials as you received them.
We will not ship to P.O. boxes.
