This is a beautiful PARRIS ISLAND USMC RECRUIT DEPOT challenge coin. Coin is about 1 9/16" in diameter and beautiful raised lettering and gold plated on both sides with a reeded edge. Coin is contained in an acrylic air tight holder and is displayed in an attractive black velvet presentation box which will make this a very impressive gift or presentation.

PARRIS ISLAND is perhaps best known for its U S Marine Corps training facility Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, where about 16,000 Marines pass through boot camp  every year.
